A traffic stop led to a man being charged for endangering children while driving under the influence and being in possession of drugs.
On Friday, March 3, 2017 at around 11:30 p.m. the Orwigsburg Police Department stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 500 block of W. Market Street.
According to Police, the vehicle was occupied by an adult male driver and minor children who were not properly restrained within the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Brenden Searle, 28 of Orwigsburg, was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Searle also exhibited signs of impairment.
Searle was arrested and transported for a chemical test of blood. Pending the receipt of the toxicological report, charges will be filed against Searle for DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of children.
