* LOCATIONS... LAUREL HIGHLANDS... WEST CENTRAL AND NORTHWEST MOUNTAINS.
* HAZARD TYPES... HEAVY SNOW AND POTENTIAL FOR BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR 6 INCHES OR MORE IN THE ALLEGHENIES AND LAUREL HIGHLANDS. THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS, SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY, AND NORTHEAST MOUNTAINS HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR 10 INCHES OR MORE OF SNOW.
* TIMING... SNOW WILL MOVE INTO NORTHWESTERN PA LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON AND INTO SOUTHERN PA MONDAY EVENING. THE SNOW WILL RAPIDLY COVER THE ENTIRE AREA BEFORE MIDNIGHT. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL OCCUR MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH NOON ON TUESDAY.
* IMPACTS... THE HEAVY SNOW WILL MAKE MANY ROADS IMPASSABLE AND MAY PRODUCE WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THE SNOW ON TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES.
* WINDS... NORTHEAST 5 TO 10 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 MPH.
