Patricia A. Kelly, age 73, of Pottsville, PA passed away Monday, May 15th, 2017 at Manor Care Health Services in Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville, PA on October 6, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Mary (Powers) O'Brien.
Pat was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1961. She then later worked in the cafeteria for the Pottsville Area School District for over 20 years, first in the High School and then at the John S. Clark Elementary School.
Pat was a member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville, where she was a lector and eucharistic minister. She would go and give communion to the residents at Manor Care in Pottsville every other week. Pat loved to travel with her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Daniel G. Kelly on October 30, 2005, 3 sisters: Mary Bowers, Frances Cuccia, and Bernice Fitzgerald, and 4 brothers: Maurice, Michael, Neil, and Robert O'Brien.
Pat is survived by son Chris D. Kelly and his wife Stacey, Pottsville; daughter Joan M. Dimmerling and her husband Paul, Pottsville; son Robert M. Verbosh and his wife Kathy, Pottsville; son Daniel E. Kelly and his wife Holly, Seltzer; son Patrick T. Kelly and his wife Patricia, Pottsville; 9 grandchildren: Max, Lauren, and Adam Kelly, Kyle Dimmerling, Kelly Chapman, Robert and Alison Verbosh, Daniel Kelly, and Johanna Goodman; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Jean Dronick, Llewellyn; brother William O'Brien, Goshen, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville at 10AM on Friday, May 19th.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday evening from 6-8pm and Friday morning from 8:30-9:30AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon.
Interment will be held private Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery Pottsville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church Memorial Fund 319 Mahantongo Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.

Mary Jane Gately, age 83, of Pottsville, PA passed away Monday, May 15th, 2017 at Orwigsburg Center.
Born in Cumbola, PA on September 10, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Jennie (Campbell) Kenna.
Mary was a graduate of Blythe Township High School. She was a seamstress for many of the local garment factories. Mary later attended Penn State University, Schuylkill Campus in Schuylkill Haven.
She was a member of the St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon. Mary loved spending time and taking care of her family.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, George J. Gately Sr. on August 2, 2013, 3 sisters: Alice Popwich, Anna Matas, and Margaret Finley, and a brother Michael Kenna.
Mary is survived by son George J. Gately Jr. and his wife Janice A., Primrose; daughter Judy Pfeiffenberger and her husband David L., North Carolina; son Gerry J. Gately and his wife Linda S., Tremont; 6 grandchildren: George Gately III and his wife Andrea, Janine Gerringer and her husband Keith, David Pfeiffenberger and his wife Trista, Jeffrey Pfeiffenberger and his wife Regina, Kenna J. Gately, and James W. Gately; 10 great-grandchildren: Reagan Pearl and John Grant Gately, Maley Jane and Emmett Ross Gerringer, Braden, Abigail, and Ryan Pfeiffenberger, and Aiden, Liam, and Madelyn Pfeiffenberger; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon at 10AM on Thursday, May 18th, with Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday evening from 6-8PM and Thursday morning from 8:30-9:30AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon.
Interment will be held in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
