Jean Marie Ney, 88 of Ashland passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community. The family would like to thank the staff for their compassionate care over the years, and especially in the hours leading up to her death.
Born on November 10, 1928, Jean was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Schneider) Ney. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred C. (Ney) Hardnock, and Catherine (Ney) Williams and survived by three generations of nieces and nephews.

Jean attended Ashland Public Schools and enjoyed her years spending time with family and friends. She loved attending family gatherings and enjoyed the antics of the children in the family. She was a great story teller and particularly good at spelling; always winning the challenge to spell unusual words correctly.
The family has entrusted the care of Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home in Ashland and services will take place at the convenience of the family.
