On Saturday, June 24, 2017 the Orwigsburg Police Department conducted a vehicle stop in the 600 block of Center Turnpike (SR-61) for a vehicle failing to maintain its own lane while traveling southbound.
Upon investigating the circumstances further, officers found one of the occupants to be a juvenile that had been entered as a missing person from Lower Salford Township in Montgomery County, PA since May of 2017.
Officers returned the juvenile to the Lower Salford Township Police Department who, in turn, returned the child to her parents.
The investigation into this incident continues.
