ORWIGSBURG - On Friday, June 16, 2017 at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Orwigsburg Police stopped two male juveniles near the intersection of S. Liberty Street and Ridge Road for an apparent violation of the Borough curfew ordinance.
During the course of contact, both were found to have been in possession of drug equipment. Both juveniles will have to answer to charges for possession of drug paraphernalia as well as curfew restrictions in front of Schuylkill County juvenile court.

Man Facing DUI and Drug Charges
ORWIGSBURG - On Friday, June 16, 2017 at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Orwigsburg Police stopped a vehicle for pulling out from a stop sign located at S. Liberty Street and W. Market Street at a time when it was not safe to do so.
Investigation at the scene revealed that not only was the operator under the influence of a drug or combination of drugs to the degree which he was incapable of safely operating a vehicle, he was also in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The driver , Gavin Ahearne, 18, of Schuylkill Haven, was arrested and transported to the Lehigh Valley Health Network-Schuylkill South campus where he consented to a chemical test of blood. Pending the receipt of chemical test results, charges for DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia will be filed.

Man Facing DUI and Harrassment Charges After Road Rage Incident
On Saturday, June 17, 2017 at approximately 5:55 p.m., Orwigsburg police officers witnessed an altercation between a two parties occurring outside the entrance to the Orwigsburg Borough Hall parking lot.
Investigation at the scene revealed that the altercation was the result of a road rage incident that began coming into the Borough on E. Market Street from Brick Hill Road. Robert Wagner, 43, of Orwigsburg, who was operating a vehicle following the victim, was tailgating the victim and attempted to pass the victim on a double yellow line in the 200 block of E. Market Street.
The victim attempted to drive to the Orwigsburg Police Department to report the incident; however, was followed there by Wagner who engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim outside Borough Hall.
Wagner was found to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages to the degree which he was incapable of safely operating a vehicle upon a highway.
Wagner was arrested and transported to the Lehigh Valley Health Network-Schuylkill South campus where he consented to a chemical test of blood. Pending the receipt of the chemical test results, charges for DUI, harassment, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and all applicable summary violations will be filed.
