According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, around 8:30am, a 16 year old male, was travelling westbound on Delano Road in Mahanoy Township near Mahanoy City.
As the vehicle crested a rise and negotiated a slight left curve, the driver lost control and began to fishtail.
The vehicle slid partway into the oncoming (eastbound) lane and began to rotate clockwise approximately 45 degrees.
His vehicle then slid back into & across the westbound lane and shoulder.
The front of the vehicle entered the grassy roadside dropoff and at that point, rolled over multiple times, striking several small trees as it continued west.
The car came to rest on it's driver side facing north on the westbound grassy roadside.
The driver had been securely seatbelted. No airbag deployed. He had suffered minor to moderate injuries and was initially treated at the scene by the Shenandoah Ambulance.
Family members arrived and transported the driver to the hospital for further treatment,
