Police say on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at approximately 8:50 p.m. the Orwigsburg Police Department was dispatched to the 400 block of Ridge Road for a hit and run that just occurred.
Witnesses at the scene stated that an older model maroon regular cab Ford F-150, possibly a Lariat with a gold stripe, was traveling west on Ridge Road when it was seen driving through the yard at 415 Ridge Road and subsequently ran over the mailbox belonging to 420 Ridge Road.
The vehicle continued westbound where it nearly struck a Borough resident who was in the process of backing out of his driveway at 555 Ridge Road.
Orwigsburg Police were unable to locate the vehicle, which is believed to have passenger side damage.
