Duane L. Koch, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, 60 years of age of Middleport, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017, at home surrounded by his family after a brief illness.
Born Tuesday, October 2, 1956 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, he is survived by his parents, Lowell R. Koch and Elizabeth M. (Billig) Koch of Lewistown Valley; his beloved wife of seven years, Terry A. (Moyer) Koch; daughter, Jessica E. Kellner and her husband Sean of Hummelstown; son, Brandon L. Koch and his wife Melissa of Lewistown Valley; sisters, Ms. Barbara Koch of Lewistown Valley, Mrs. Beth Argall wife of David of Nesquehoning, Mrs. Pam Williams wife of Samuel of Lewistown Valley; grandchild, Deanna E. Folk; stepchildren; Mrs. Laura Faenza wife of Joseph of Coaldale, Kristen Behr of Tamaqua, Glenn Behr and his wife Lindsey of Chicago; and step-grandchild Connor Faenza. Many nieces and nephews also survive Duane.
A 1974 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Duane was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Koch's Turkey Farms in Lewistown Valley. Duane was a pioneer of antibiotic-free & organic growing practices in the poultry industry and was highly regarded in the turkey industry for his expertise and humility. Professionally, he was a member of the National Turkey Federation, PennAg, and Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture.
Duane was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed archery, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of Lone Pine Fish Club of Middleport, where he appreciated the camaraderie and trout fishing of the club. As an avid angler, he was also passionate about fishing for walleye while vacationing in Quebec. A lifelong automobile enthusiast, Duane was a member of the Schuylkill Valley Corvette Club, and had just finished restoring his classic 1970 Corvette. Duane was also a talented chef and enjoyed cooking delicious meals for family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11 o'clock a.m. from the funeral home, Pastor Joshua Ott to officiate. Friends shall be received on Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and on the morning of services from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

Kenneth Brennan Sr., 66, of Cressona, passed away Saturday at his residence.
Born in Pottsville, July 19, 1950, he was a son of the late Cecelia Wyslutsky and Elvin Brennan.
He was the husband of Carolyn Michele Franks Brennan, to whom he was married for 44 years.
He was a graduate of Minersville High School, Class of 1968, and was employed as a truck driver for James Quandel & Sons Inc.
Ken was of the Episcopal faith.
He was a member of Cressona American Legion and Forestville Hose Company. He also was a former stock car driver.
He will always be remembered as a man who enjoyed his life, family, job and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Eileen Schultz, and a nephew, Robert Lymaster III.
In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by a son, Kenneth Jr., husband of Irina, Pine Grove; daughters, Lisa Yoder, wife of Llowell, Schuylkill Haven, and Jean Brennan, Cressona; grandchildren, Kourtney, Kenneth III and Alex Brennan and Ryan Yoder; siblings, Nancy Lyemaster, wife of Robert, Llewellyn, Richard Brennan, husband of Anne Marie, Schuylkill Haven, and Elvin Brennan Jr., husband of Denise, Pottsville; an aunt, Mae Brennan, Pottsville; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with Pastor Keith McCarthy officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cressona Cemetery.

Ira N."Ike" Kintzel, 86, of Church Lane, Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017 at home.
Born on April 17, 1931 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Jesse J. and Alma Hughes Kintzel.
He was a member of the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, Pine Grove. He attended the Paradise School.
Ira was a self employed coal miner.
He was a social member of the Pine Grove VFW Post 3432, Pine Grove Fish & Game, H.H. & L. Fire Co. #1, North End Fire Co., and Roedersville Game & Fish.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Dolores "Beck" Rager Kintzel; four brothers, Harvey "Hip", Frank, Abel and Jesse Kintzel; two sisters, Elizabeth Butler and Vera Brown.
Surviving are a daughter, Margaret and husband Dennis Schnoke of Pine Grove; three sons, Dale "Butch" and wife Bonnie Kintzel, Stephen Kintzel, both of Pine Grove; Jody Kintzel of Florida, 6 grandchildren, Michael Stenulis, Rebecca Schnoke, Billie Jo Wolff, Amy Slish, Ellie Kintzel and Stephenie Layser; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Nathan Kintzel, Monroe Kintzel; two sisters, Rachael Strouphauer, Leona Kintzel, all of Pine Grove and his faithful dog Ginger.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. from the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, 347 Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove with Pastor Richard Hoffman officiating. There will be a viewing on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the Church. Interment will follow in the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove.

Robert E. Fidler, 85, of Chapel Dr., Pine Grove, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East.
Born on November 10, 1931, he was a son of the late Paul and Alice Strausser Fidler.
He was a member of the Suedberg Church of God, Pine Grove. He was a graduate of PIne Grove High School and the Diesel Engine Repair School in Chicago.
Robert was the owner and operator of Robert E. Fidler Excavating and Paving, Pine Grove.

He was a former member of the Pine Grove Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are two sons, Bruce and wife Anita Fidler, and David and wife Kathy Fidler, both of Pine Grove; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

Janet V. Bosler, 66, of Dad Burnhams Rd., Pine Grove, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 in the Tremont Health & Rehab Center.
Born on January 16, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, she is a daughter of Robert J. Jarrett of Arizona and the late Virginia McAndrew Jarrett.
She was a 1969 graduate of Bushwick High School in New York.
Janet worked as a Administrative Assistant for Mutual Consumer Lending, Pine Grove and lastly at Becker Bros. Toyota.

Surviving, in addition to her father, are two daughters, Kathleen and husband Daniel Nagle, Kristine Bosler, both of Pine Grove; three grandsons, Darren, Brandon and Eric Nagle; two brothers, Robert Jarrett of Pine Grove, William Jarrett of New York; a sister, Lillian Corrado of Ravine.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Dale Kreiser and Steph Lutz officiating. There will be a calling time on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4:00 P.M until time of service at the Funeral Home.
