Man Facing Assault Charges
West Mahanoy Township Police have arrested a male as a result of an incident on July 6th in the Brownsville section of the township.
Police were dispatched to a report of a disturbance, and found that a male had broken several items at a residence and caused injury to another person. That other person did need to seek medical attention for the injuries received.
The male, who was identified as Richard Andino Jr., last known address of Mainville, PA, was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
Andino was charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Intimidation of a Victim or Witness, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Resisting Arrest, Loitering and Prowling at Nighttime, Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Drunkenness. Andino was arraigned by MDJ Plachko and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison unable to post bail.
Andino will have to answer to these charges before MDJ Kilker, Shenandoah.
