The Nuremberg- Weston Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting a 7K Run/Walk race as a new fundraiser on Saturday September 9, 2017.
**Participants wishing to guarantee a t-shirt must register by August 12. Anyone who registers after August 12 will receive a t-shirt on a first come, first serve basis the day of the race**
Online registration will be available until September 7. Race day registration will be available starting at 7 AM.

About the course:
The 4.3 mile race course consist of downhills, uphills, and flats. It will start at 9 am at the NWVFC Firehouse (459 Hazle St.) and head into Nuremberg via Hazle St. (.8)miles, then turn left onto Mahanoy St. For (.7)miles, turn left and continue onto Weston Rd for (1.3) miles, turn left onto Center St. (.2) miles,turn left onto Main St. (.3) miles, make right at Line St.(.1) mile, make right onto Market St. (.1) mile, , turn left onto Derringer St. (.1) mile, then fiinally turning left back onto Hazle St. for the final (.7) miles.

A free 1 mile "Fun Run" for the kids occur immediately following the race. Which children have a chance to take 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. All children that participate will receive a goody bag.
Awards:
Overall Male & Overall Female
1st and 2nd place for male and female age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over
Emergency Responder category: 1st, 2nd and 3rd for top male and top female emergency responders participating in the race. Responders must be members of fire, rescue, police, EMS organizations or 9-1-1 dispatchers.

Runners: $20 through August 12 / $25 after August 12 including Race Day
Walkers: $15
Emergency Personnel: $20
Professional Timing will be by Insta-Results
Professional photographer JC Kriesher from Fire & Film will be on scene
The company will have a Tricky tray Raffle (Chinese Auction) day of event, and also selling Potato Cakes and hotdogs.
All proceeds from the race will benefit the Nuremberg-Weston Volunteer Fire Company.
