Patricia “Patty” Cavenas, 69, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, August 2nd, at Lehigh Valley East Norwegian Hospital, Pottsville.
Patty was born in Shenandoah, PA on August 19, 1947, the daughter of the late Florence (Molnar) and John Hanrahan.
She was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, PA.
She had worked for many years at A&E in Ringtown.
She loved cooking, gardening, sewing, crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Patty graduated from Mahanoy City High School class of 1965.
She was the wife of the late Raymond Cavenas. Patty is preceded in death in addition to her husband, by a son Raymond in 2015.
Patty is survived by three sons Terry, husband of Melissa, of Mahanoy City; John, husband of Nikke, of Mahanoy City; Christopher, husband of Patricia, of Conyngham; and by four brothers, John, of Huntingtown MD; Timothy, of Buck Mountain; Martin and Shawn, of Mahanoy City.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Tyler, Mikayla, Madison, Gabby, McKenna, Isobela, Jack, Nicholas, Joei, and Emma, in addition to several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 10AM on Monday, August 7th, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.
Friends may call Monday 9AM at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish. Interment will be in St. Canicus Cemetery.

Jacob M. Mendinsky, 26, of Cressona, passed away Tuesday, August 1st.
Born in Pottsville on April 11, 1991, he was a son of the Mary Hollenbach & her companion, James Maquire, Cressona, and Andrew Mendinsky & his wife, Kim, Tamaqua.
He was a Blue Mountain High School graduate, Class of 2009.
Jacob was employed by Giant in Cressona, and was a member of the Northward Social Club.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his companion, Ryan Schreffler, St. Clair, maternal grandmother, Kay Hollenbach, Cressona, paternal grandfather, Michael Mendinsky & wife Debra, Pine Grove, and paternal grandmother, Barbara Dalby & husband, Jessie, Colorado. Surviving aunts and uncles include: Stacy Smulligan & husband, Pete, New Philadelphia, Troy Hollenbach & wife, Lisa, Schuylkill Haven, Joey Hollenbach, Cressona, Justin Mendinsky & wife, Vanessa, Middletown, Clint Mendinsky & wife, Amanda, Florida, Nicole Mendinsky, State College, Michael Lord, and Heather Lord, both of Missouri, and Jacob Dalby, Colorado. Jacob is also survived by five cousins: Brittany Noecker, Ashlee Laubenstine, Vaughn and Austin Smulligan, and Kylinn Hollenbach, and a second cousin, Bowdrie Noecker.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charlie Hollenbach.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
A viewing will be held Sunday from 5 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience.

Helene N. Motley, 66, Auburn, died Thursday at Lehigh Valley Medical Center- Cedar Crest.
Born April 20, 1951 in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Marlen and Nelda (Bradbury) Beury.
After graduating from Pottsville High School in 1969, Helene attended West Reading Nursing School and became a registered nurse. She worked at West Reading Hospital, private duty nursing and at the former Pottsville Hospital. She retired in December from Lehigh Valley Medical Center- East.
She was of the Protestant Faith and was a member of the Schuylkill Racquet Club, Orwigsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Marlen “Lee” Beury and a brother in law, Henry Stiltner.
Helene is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Motley, Auburn; son, Robert Lee, Tucson AZ; daughters Jennifer Anderson wife of Darrell, Charolette NC; and Laura Lee, Newport NC; grandchildren Phoebe, Sylvia, and Miles Anderson, Charolette NC; brother Jack E. Beury, Douglassville WV; and sisters Lynne Stiltner, Pottsville and Jill Gulas, Pottsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2PM Saturday at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects noon until the time of service. Interment will follow on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.
