Cecelia R. Hunt, age 84, of Cass Township, PA passed away Monday, October 2nd, 2017 at The Gardens at York Terrace in Pottsville. Born in Ashland, PA on October 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Gerald A. and Violet (Hancock) Hunt. 

Cecelia was a sewing machine operator working for many local garment factories and she was a member of St. Michael the Arch Angel Roman Catholic Church in Minersville. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Edward, Gerald, and Joseph Hunt and a sister Loretta Luckenbill. 

 Cecelia is survived by three sisters: Rita Schultz and her husband Bill, Gloucester, NJ; Dolores Weaver and her husband John, Tower City, PA; and Carol Ketner and her husband John, Mill Creek, PA; a brother Eugene Hunt and his wife Sandy, Pottsville, PA; and nieces and nephews. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Arch Angel Church in Minersville at 11:30AM on Friday, October 6th, with Rev. Christopher Zelonis officiating. 

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Friday morning from 9:30-11AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike Street, Port Carbon. Interment will be held in the Queen of the Universe Cemetery Pottsville, PA. Maria Rounds, 56, of Norristown, formerly of Frackville died Tuesday Oct. 3, 2017 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Pottsville, July 23, 1961, She was a daughter of the late Bernard and Florence (Shidisky) Rounds.
She was a 1979 graduate from Cardinal Brennan High School and earned Bachelor's Degree from Pennsylvania State University.

She was of the catholic faith.

Maria was Human Resource Director at ABC Supply Company, Telford.

Surviving are brother Larry Rounds of Frackville, 2 sisters, Kathy LaBella of Tamaqua;

Patricia Kurpell and her husband Ken of Frackville; 2 nieces, Nicole, and Rachael, nephew Larry, great nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday Oct. 7, 2017 from Nice- Hart Funeral Home, Inc, 9 North Lehigh Avenue Frackville. The Rev. Robert Finlan will be officiating. . Friends may call from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services PO Box 4072, Pittsfield , MA 01202 or Frackville Girls Softball PO Box 363, Frackville, PA 17903. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Genevieve M. Terway, 92, of Seltzer, Norwegian Township, died early Wednesday morning at her home.

Born in Seltzer, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Burke Terway. She attended St. Francis Parochial School and Pottsville High School. She worked for the former Phillips and Jones Corporation before entering the Women’s Air Force in 1952. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, she served with the 4230th Air Force Hospital (SAC) at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. She was later employed as a dietician with the former Good Samaritan Hospital, retiring after more than 40 years of service.

She was a member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, and was a current member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville.

She was a devoted daughter and sister, remaining with her mother after her father passed away in a mine accident in 1940, and helping to raise the large family she was part of. Although Genevieve never married, she had many children who would come to her just to sit and chat. She was loved by many and will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Elwood, Francis, Anthony and Ronald.

She is survived by two brothers, Lawrence, Seltzer, and Bernard, Leander, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews scattered throughout the country.

ARRANGEMENTS ARE TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED AS FOLLOWS:

The family will accept visits from relatives and friends on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. in St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, 139 Spruce Street, Minersville. Interment with military honors will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Branch Township.

Amilcar Menjivar, 62, of Shenandoah, passed away Wednesday evening, October 4th, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Amilcar was born in Tocoa, Honduras on March 1, 1955, a son of the late Maria (DeJesus Chavez) and Jesus Menjivar.

He moved from Central America to the New Brunswick, New Jersey area 30 years ago, where he worked as a machine operator in the manufacturing industry. In 2011, he relocated to Shenandoah along with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Suyapa (Antunez) Menjivar, and their daughter, Valeria of Shenandoah, and by his children, Luis Menjivar and his wife Joyce of Shenandoah; Jesus Menjivar and his wife Gelen Sevilla, of Shenandoah; Nancy Menjivar, wife of Humberto Luna of Ringtown; Enma Menjivar, wife of Javier Peralta of Shenandoah; Yesi Menjivar, wife of Daniel Tejeda of Hazleton and Maria Menjivar, wife of Ariel Mateo of Hazleton.

He is also survived by a brother Blas of New Jersey and a nephew Jorge, also of New Jersey. Also surviving are siblings, Jorge, Salomon, Alirio, Melva and Mariana, all of Honduras, Central America.

He is survived by 10 grandchildren, and is expecting the arrival of another grandchild in the near future.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown, at 11 AM on Monday, October 9th, 2017. Amilcar will be laid to rest in the Annunciation Cemtery, Shenandoah, immediately following the service.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing, which will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3-6 PM and again on Monday morning from 9-11 AM at the funeral home.
