Woman Facing Drug Charges After Traffic Stop
West Mahanoy Township Police have filed charges as a result of a vehicle stop on October 1st in the Altamont Section of the Township. During the course of the stop it was found that the vehicle contained several items of drug paraphernalia. As a result of the stop, Brittany Rosas of Mahanoy City, will have to answer to a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a summary traffic offense before Magisterial District Judge Christian Hale, Frackville.

Man Flees After Crashing Quad into Building
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, around 8:00pm Saturday, Mark Homa, 18, of Minersville was driving an off road vehicle eastbound on Condor Lane, Cass Township.
Homa reported to police that as he approached Route 901 and attempted to stop at a stop sign, he claims he suffered brake failure. Homa then swerved to avoid from entering the highway and struck a building at the intersection, then fled the scene.
