Just after 5:00pm Wednesday, emergency crews were called to a motor vehicle accident located North Gilbert Street and West Centre Street that involved a pedestrian on a bicycle.
According to police, the accident occurred when Scott Ort, 13, road his bicycle down a hill into the path of Kara Moser, 40, of Lansford on Centre Street. Ort was taken to the hospital and later flown to Lehigh Valley-Cedar Crest where he died overnight.
Ort was reported to have suffered severe head trauma.
No charges are pending against Moser.
