Mayor Surprises Shenandoah Woman With Proclamation for Her Birthday

A Shenandoah woman received a proclamation from the mayor on Thursday.

Sarah Umlauf, a resident Shenandoah manor, will celebrate her 106th birthday on November 16th, 2017.

Each month, the home holds a celebration for all the birthdays that occur in that month and during today's celebration Miss Umlauf received a special surprise from Shenandoah Mayor Andrew J. Szczyglak.

For her birthday, Mayor Szczyglak read a proclamation stating "NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Andrew J. Szczyglak, do hereby declare November 16, 2017 "SARAH UMLAUF" DAY in the Borough of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania"
