Three Injured in East Brunswick Township Crash on Thursday
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, a three vehicle crash occurred around 5:30pm in East Brunswick Township at the intersection of Summer Valley Road and Church Street.
The crash occurred when a vehicle driven by Michael Barr, 38, of Kelayres was stopped eastbound and was attempting to turn left onto Church Street and another vehicle driven by Melvin Hoffman, 70, of Mar Lin, failed to see the stopped vehicle and struck the rear end of Barr's vehiicle.
Hoffman then continued eastbound and struck another vehicle driven by Henry Clay, 50, of Leesport, which was traveling westbound on Route 895.
Hoffman then struck the guard rail on the northern berm with its front end. Barr's vehicle rolled over the northern guard rail and came to final rest down the embankment on the northern berm.
Clay's vehicle spun around and came to final rest facing east in the westbound lane of SR895.
Barr and Clay were transported by ambulance to Schuylkill Medical Center - East for evaluation for minor injuries.
Hoffman was transported by family to Schuylkill Medical Center East for evaluation for minor injuries.
