Just before midnight fire crews were called to Route 209, Reilly Township, just outside Newtown heading towards Branchdale for a fully involved house fire.
Early reports are the home was unoccupied.
A tanker task force has already been requested.
More details when they are available.
UPDATE (12:30am): The fire is under control but crews will remain on scene for a few hours for cleanup. Route 209 is closed in the area of the fire.
