Harry H. Lengert, 94 passed away November 27,2017 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lebanon,PA.
He was born in Wilhelmshaven, Germany March 6,1923 the son of the late Herman and Frieda
Lengert. He was a United States Army veteran serving in World War I I. Preceding him in death
was his wife Marie C. (Myers) Lengert in 2014 and a daughter also preceded him in death.
A daughter Dr. Kim Lengert, Ashland survives. Mr. Lengert was laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst, New Jersey on his family's plot.

Nora Elizabeth George, 62, after a long struggle with leukemia, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at her home in Lake Wynonah, the morning of November 29th. Born July 9, 1955 in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Julia and Francis Hoffecker, with whom she will now be reunited with in Heaven. On May 8, 1982, she married Anthony Joseph George and together they raised her son, Christopher.
For the majority of her life, Nora worked as a Nurse at Rest Haven Nursing Home, until she was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2012. Nora dedicated her whole life helping others and will be remembered as the most thoughtful, caring, and courageous person her family has ever known; she was taken from us far too soon. Nora is survived by her husband Anthony George, her son Christopher George, husband of Mary (McInerney) George, and the joys of her life - her 4 grandchildren; Haleigh, Trinity, Delaney, and Christopher II.
At Nora’s request, only a private family memorial service will be held, however a mass will be dedicated in her honor at her parish, St. Ambrose Church in Schuylkill Haven. If desired, friends may make memorial donations in Nora’s name to the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge in Cheltenham (Philadelphia), PA. James L. Madenfort, 85, of Auburn, passed away Wednesday, November 29th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Williamsport, PA on June 27, 1932, he was a son of the late James L. & Helen (Frenk) Madenfort.
He was the husband of M. Jane (Evans) Madenfort, whom he married June 29, 1952.
Jim was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1950. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University in 1958.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and later served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Jim had been employed as an engineer, retiring in 1997 from Occidental Chemical, Pottstown.
He was a member and past Elder at First United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven, where he also served on the banquet committee.
Jim was also a member of Schuylkill Haven Lions Club and Orwigsburg Lodge #138 F&AM.
In addition to his parents, Jim is also preceded in death by two sisters: Patricia Stuempfle, and Joan McMaken.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by four sons: Mark Madenfort, Boca Raton, FL, Matthew Madenfort, Mitchell Madenfort, both of Auburn, and Michael Madenfort, Hockessin, DE, and one grandchild, Taylor, Boca Raton, FL.

Edward F. Misstishin, 87, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday evening at Orwigsburg Center.
Born in Mount Laffee, March 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Michael and Loretta (Doolin) Misstishin.
He was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Edward was an avid Philadelphia sports fan; his favorite teams were the Phillies, Eagles, and 76ers. He was a life member of the American Hose Co., Pottsville. On July 11, 2011, Edward was inducted into the Pa Voter Hall of Fame for having achieved a 50 consecutive year voting record, receiving several certificates from the Commonwealth of Pa and U.S. House of Representatives.
Edward worked for A&P for 39 years and Kaytee Products for 25 years. He worked as a full time employee until his retirement at the age of 82.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a great story teller.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances C. (Stapleton) Misstishin.
He is survived by his son, James E. Misstishin Sr. and his companion Susan A. Smith, Pottsville; grandchildren, James Jr. and his fiancee Suzzane Holley, Gerald, and Richard Misstishin, great granddaughter, Julie Misstishin; brother, John “Jack” Mistisshen husband of Janice, Brunswick, GA; niece, Catherine Heath; nephews, Michael, John, Peter, and Stephen Mistisshen; and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30am on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville with Monsignor William Glosser officiating. Family and friends may call Monday evening at the funeral home from 5 pm – 7pm and Tuesday morning 9:30 am until the time of the service. Internment with military honors will be held at 1:30 pm in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Hose Company 323 W Norwegian St., Pottsville, PA 17901.

Pearl I. Murphy, 81 of Ashland, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 29, 2017 at her home.
Born on December 23, 1935, in Pine Grove Twp., she was a daughter of the late Earl O. and Anna R Brown Hummel.
Pearl was a member of the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, Pine Grove. She loved going out and enjoyed socializing with people..
She was preceded in death by her son, Roy E. Kaufman on March 18, 2017, and her husband, Eugene A. Murphy on July 11, 2010.
Surviving are four sons, William Kaufman of Branchdale, Richard Kaufman of Pine Grove, Perry Kaufman of Pottsville, Joe Kaufman of Donaldson, Daughter, Nancy Kemp of Knoxville:,Pa., 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren: Sister, Freida D'Agostino, Brother, Marlin Hummel both of Pine Grove; and her companion, Jonathan "Sonny" Brooks, with whom she resided in Ashland, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., on Monday, December 4, 2017at 1:00 pm with Pastor Richard Hoffman officiating. There will be a viewing on Monday, December 4, from 12:00 pm until time of service at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in the Hetzel's Cemetery, Pine Grove.

Robert L. Barnhart, 85, of Llewellyn, passed away on Wednesday at Geisinger Medical Center.
Born in Llewellyn, he was a son of the late Robert Barnhart and Dora Kline Barnhart Schultz. He was a 1949 graduate of Branch Township High School. He was an independent anthracite miner; and later worked as an equipment operator on highway and pipeline construction.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, the former Nancy Loeb, in 2010; a granddaughter, Martina Barnhart; and a great-granddaughter, Avery Lynn Kralick; two siblings, Betty DeSantis and Ronald Barnhart.
He is survived by five sons, William, of Llewellyn, Frank, of Minersville, David, of Llewellyn, Robert, of Llewellyn, and Michael, of Branchdale; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Barnhart family on Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in Mount Peace Cemetery, Branch Township, at the convenience of the family.

Tina E. Chescavage, 55, of Ulysses, PA, passed away Friday at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Pottsville a daughter of Shirley Lucas Deeter, Hegins and the late Elwood Deeter.
Tina attended Tri-Valley High School
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert, February 15, 2017; two brothers, Alan and Elwood Deeter.
Surviving in addition to her mother, are three children, Danielle Lagaza, Pottsville; Christian Chescavage, Hegins and Ryan Bruner, Williamstown; step-daughter, Elizabeth Chescavage, New Ringgold; three sisters, Joanne Brown, Pine Grove; Debra Dinger, Joliett and Vicki Witmer, Hegins; two brothers, Gary Brill, Joliett and Dennis Deeter, Hegins. Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Tuesday evening at 8:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc. Tower City. Viewing will be from 6-8 pm at the chapel.
