Anna Mae (Schlader) Birster, 88 formerly of Locustdale, PA passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Jackson St., Pottsville, PA. Born in Locustdale, PA March 13, 1929 daughter of the late Peter Puceta and Mary Fox. She was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Church, Ashland, PA.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband: Gervase "Moxie" Birster. Son: John Schlader. Granddaughter: Melissa Karpovich-Ramsdal and daughter Roseann Birster who did so much for everyone while struggling through her own illness.

Two sisters. One brother. Surviving are a son and daughter: Charles Schlader and Mary (Schlader) Karpovich both of Mount Carmel, PA. Grandchildren: Jason wife of Davina Corrigan; Owen husband of Jessica Corrigan; Kristy Corrigan; Charles husband of Carrie Karpovich. Son-in-law: Rodger Birster of Ashland. Five great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 20th, with Rev. Paul L. Rothermel officiating.

Interment at Brock Cemetery, Ashland, PA. Visitation Wednesday 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements. Charles Heizenroth III, Supervisor.
