Alfred P. Knabb, 84 of New Ringgold, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at home while in the loving care of his family. 

Survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Dolores D. (McFarlnad) Knabb;daughters, Cindy L. Rohrbach wife of Frank of Macungie, Christine A. Knabb of Kempton, Wanda J. Krum wife of Keith of Lehighton, Debbie L. Lloyd of Slatington; sons, William M. Knabb of Kempton, David P. Knabb of Lenhartsville, Alfred O. Knabb and his wife Karen of Kutztown; sisters, June Bruno of Kutztown, Eleanor Sechler of Bernville; 10 grand children; 7 great grand children. Many nieces, and nephews also survive Alfred. 

Alfred was a longtime truck driver having owned A.P. Knabb Trucking of East Brunswick Township. He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed gardening, listening to country music, and visiting the local sprint car tracks. 

Born Wednesday, May 17, 1933 in Oley, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Alfred P. and Beulah (Prutzman) Knabb. He was also predeceased by; sisters, Helen Manbeck, Grace Herring, Rhea Seigfried, Ann Seidel, Fern Zeigler; brothers, Nevin and David Knabb.

Harold P. Knoll, 86, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street.

Born in Pottsville, April 30, 1931, he was a son of the late Claude and Helen A. Schneider Knoll.

After graduating from Pottsville High School, he proudly served his country in the Marine Corps.

Harold retired from United Metal Receptacle Corp. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles and enjoyed smoking a cigar out on his patio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Georgine Snyder and Helen Miller; brothers, Claude and Edward Knoll Sr.

He is survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville. Mary E. Burns, 94, of Girardville, passed away peacefully on November 30 at Schuylkill Center Nursing Home in Pottsville.

Mary was born in Mahanoy Plane, March 24, 1923, daughter of the late Mary Hassel and Michael McMonegal. Mary attended Gilberton schools. She married Harold Burns on October 16, 1943. She was married to Harold for 59 years before his death in 2003.

She was a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Girardville, now St. Charles Borromeo Parish. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Cecelia, the Red Hat Society and the Senior Citizens, all of Girardville.

Mary loved for her family to visit, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved vacationing at the beach and camping with her family. Her grandchildren enjoyed the many New Year’s Eve gatherings at her house and bringing their children to watch the St. Patrick’s parade with her from her porch.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Lori Ann Krevinas, 1971 and Michael Burns, 1972; her daughter Mary Ellen Krevinas, 2007; her brothers Jack, Charles, Michael, and Francis McMonegal.

Mary is survived by her sons, Harold, his wife Betty, of Nashville, TN; Bobby, his wife Mary, of Ashland; Edward, companion Cathy, of Girardville; and Gerard of Girardville; son-in-law, Joseph Krevinas, Girardville; 14 grandchildren: Elizabeth McCann (Randy); Harold (Melissa); John (Jessica); Michele Scavuzzo (Brian); Diane Whalen (Joe); Nicole Leiby (Heath); Bobby (Steph); Joe Krevinas (Heidi); Michael Krevinas; Edward (Robin); Timothy (Susanne); Corinne; AshleyAndrefski (Jeremiah), and Gerard Burns; 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Girardville with pastor emeritus, Rev. Edward B. Connolly and pastor Rev. Paul Rothermel as the con-celebrants . Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Fountain Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions be made, in Mary’s name, to the American Cancer Society at 101 W. Frack Street Frackville, PA 17931.
