Around 9:30am, emergency personnel were called to 319 West Market Street, Pottsville for smoke coming from an apartment building.
Police were first to arrive on scene and pronounced the fire as working.
Fire units from Pottsville have been called as well as Schuylkill Haven for their RIT.
