A man avoided injury Saturday afternoon in a crash in Butler Township.
Just before 1:00pm, emergency personnel were called to Route 901/Fairgrounds Road, south of Lavelle, Butler Township, for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
When police arrived on scene, they found the driver of the vehicle had freed himself from the crashed F-450.
According to Butler Township Patrolman Raymond Horan, Roger Combs, 47, of Marion Heights was travelling south on Route 901 when his vehicle veered off the right berm of the highway striking the end of a guiderail.
The truck tumbled multiple times down an embankment until coming to a rest against a tree.
Combs was evaluated at the scene but refused treatment.
Assisting Butler Township at the scene were Ashland Police, Fountain Springs Fire, Lavelle Fire, Ashland Washington Rescue, and Ashland Ambulance.
