A Monday morning barn fire near Pine Grove has been ruled arson.
Just after 5:00am Monday morning, fire crews were called to 110 Saw Mill Road, Washington Township for a fully involved barn fire.
Crews remained on scene for over 3 hours until clearing the scene. The barn was reported to have been used for storage. The fire destroyed the barn and everything inside. Damage to the barn was reported to have been in excess of $30,000.
A State Police Fire Marshal was called to the scene later Monday where Trooper Joseph Burns found
that the fire was intentionally set.
Police report that several fire have occurred around the Pine Grove area since November of 2017 in vacant or unattended structures.
