Agnes M Snyder, age 91, of Spring Glen, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - E Norwegian, Pottsville.
She was born on Saturday, November 27, 1926, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Joel Daniels and the late Eva Bowman Daniels.
She was a member of St. Matthew's "Coleman's" UCC Church, Spring Glen; where she was a member of the Ladies Friendship Circle.
Agnes enjoyed bluegrass and country music, taking annual trips to the mountains, and spending time with her family.
Her husband Robert L Snyder passed away in 2006. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joel R Snyder; by two infant daughters; and by three brothers Robert "Felix" Daniels, William "Bill" Daniels, and Jack Daniels.
She is survived by two sons, Merl L Snyder of Good Spring and Samuel T Snyder of Spring Glen; a daughter, Holly D Kaster and her husband Ed of Spring Glen; two granddaughters, Cara Snyder of Reading and Kristi Kaster of Cleveland, OH; a grandson, Dustin Kaster and his wife Tara of Philadelphia; a great grandson, Vincent Kaster of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services celebrating the lives of both Agnes and her husband Robert will be held at St. Matthew's "Coleman's" UCC Church, Spring Glen, on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Dale Thomas officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the church. There will be no viewing.
Burial will be made in St. Matthew's "Coleman's" Cemetery, Spring Glen.

Steven D. Waddell , 66, of 216 South Mill Street, St. Clair, passed away Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Health Network – Schuylkill – East, Pottsville PA.
Born in Jarrettsville, MD, August 27, 1951, He was a son of the late William and Margaret (Waddell) Lutz.
Steven was a Welder at Burlington Homes Manufacturing, St. Clair.
He was a member of Methodist Faith.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Leonard Doss and William Waddell, 2 sisters Linda Waddell and Ruby Martin.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years Susan (Carl) Waddell of St. Clair, a son Jeffrey Carl and his wife Denise of Pottsville, 2 daughters Tina Waddell and her husband Mark of St. Clair, Stephanie Benedict and her husband Chad of St. Clair, 7 Grandsons Peter, Matthew, Justin, Brandon, Dylan and Austin, 1 granddaughter Meagan, 13 great grandchildren, 1 sister Robin Staab of MD, Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday from the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair. Pastor Jack Murray will be officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday or 9:00AM – 10:00AM Thursday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair.

Born in St. Clair, she was a daughter of James & Anna Federishko Kellagher. Jeannie was a 1951 graduate of St. Clair High School and a member of the National Honor Society. She was a member of Saint Clare of Assisi Church, St. Clair and a member of their women’s club.
Education was important to her. She was a volunteer for St. Clair & St. Mary’s school libraries. She was past president of St. Mary’s Home & School Association. She was the seamstress for their band and cheerleading squad as well as a teacher’s aid as needed. Jeannie also loved being the chauffeur for the Sisters of St. Joseph.
After her children graduated she still wanted to help educate others. Jeannie became a volunteer for the Schuylkill Literacy Council teaching adults to read.
Jeannie believed in doing her civic duty by holding various offices for her ward’s elections. In 2011 she was inducted into Pennsylvania’s Voter Hall of Fame, receiving numerous commendations, for fifty years of continual voting.
She was preceded in death by her parents and then her siblings James Kellagher and Lillian Schaeffer. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bill Connors.
Her remaining family consists of her daughter Sandy Rudy, companion of Dennis Gallagher, Halifax; son John Connors, husband of Cissy, New Brighton; daughter, Shawn Bugdanavage wife of Wally, Pottsville. Granddaughters Sasha Reese, wife of Rick, Pittsburgh; Harley Mills, Pottsville. Greatgrandchildren Gabbie Fees, Pottsville; Roddy Reese, Pittsburgh. Nieces, nephews, god daughter, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday January 22, 2018 at 10:30 AM from St. Clare of Assis Roman Catholic Church, 250 East Hancock Street, St. Clair, Pa. The Rev. Msgr. William Glosser will be officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in her memory being made to The Pottsville Free Public Library 208 W. Market St. Pottsville, PA 17901.
Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

Maryann T. (Zawidski) Pretti, 73, of St. Clair, died Monday at home, hours before her husband, John J. Pretti Jr., 74 passed away at LVHN – Schuylkill – East.
Born in Chester, April 23, 1944, she was a daughter of the Francis and Maryann (Wilson) Zawidski.
Born in Pottsville, June 29, 1943, He was the son of the late John Sr. and Julia F. (Marks) Pretti.
Maryann was a garment worker at several local factories, while John worked at Mirawall and the St. Clair Sewer Authority.
They were members of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair.
They were proceeded in death by their daughter Lisa Pretti.
Surviving are a daughter Barbara Hinchey of St. Clair, son John “Jack” Pretti of St. Clair, 3 grandchildren Jessica, Robert and Michael Pretti, 2 great granddaughters Avery and Mya, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth B. Houser, 95, of Sheppton, passed away Tuesday, January 16th, 2018.
Elizabeth was born in Oneida, on December 21, 1922, a daughter of the late Susan (Stoffa) and Samuel Kakaley.
A life long homemaker, Elizabeth worked for a short time in the local garment industry, where she excelled as a seamstress, turning that passion into a hobby, crafting many of her own clothes. She also enjoyed drawing and was an avid flower gardener.
Elizabeth was a member of St. James United Church of Christ Sheppton.
She was preceded in death by a sister Helen DiChiara and a brother, Samuel Kakaley, Jr., and by her husband, Thomas H. Houser.
She is survived by a daughter Arlene, wife of Oscar Beninsky, of Ringtown;
and by two sons, Thomas Houser, and his wife Jacqueline of Sheppton; and Keith Houser, and his wife Julie of Virginia. Also surviving are a sister Louise Scott, of New Mexico; and two brothers, Edward Kakaley, of Washington and Michael Kakaley, of Sheppton.
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service which will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 20th at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown.
A viewing will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service.
Elizabeth will be laid to rest alongside her husband in the Old White Church Cemtery, Ringtown, following the service.
