Mary L. McCormick, 83 of Ashland passed away Saturday, Jan. 27,2018 at Mt.
Carmel Nursing & Rehab., Mt. Carmel,PA. 

Born in Ashland January 21,1935 the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie (Reickert) Steinhilber. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Ashland where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters . She graduated from Ashland High School. Preceding her in death were her husband Robert McCormick and a daughter Kathleen Temple.

Surviving are her son Kevin husband of Diane McCormick, Shamokin,PA.
Grandchildren: Ryan his 'fiancé Danielle; Kiley and her companion Bobby.
Son-in-law Joseph Temple; Grandchildren Cody and Megan. Great granddaughter:
Karley. Sister survives Pat Richards of Camp Hill, PA.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Feb. 3,2018 in St. Charles Barromeo Church, Ashland, PA. Rev. Paul Rothermel officiating. Interment in St.
Joseph's Cemetery, Ft. Springs, PA. Visitation Saturday 9:00-11:00 A.M. from St.
Charles Borromeo Church, Walnut St., Ashland, PA. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home
Inc., Ashland is in charge. Charles Heizenroth III, Supervisor.

Anne L. Kane, 82, of Ashland, Pa died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her home.

Born in Locustdale, PA, September 8, 1935, the daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret (Welsh) Tilmont. On June 16, 1956 she married David J. Kane in St. Joseph's Church in Locustdale. She retired from the North Schuylkill School District in 1998 after 20-plus years as a Teacher's Aide. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Ashland. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the Ashland Elks.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband David in 1998.

She is survived by three sons: Michael (Sandy); Dennis (Carole); and David. Seven grandchildren: Amanda (Tom); Megan (Andrew); Allison; Jacqueline; Nicole; Jonathan (Candice); and Jill (Robert). Eight great-grandchildren: Jaedyn; Aidan; Braedyn; Elizabeth; Kaitlyn; Everett; Kellan; and Kinsley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, Feb 1, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Ashland. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fountain Springs, PA. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the church. 

In lieu of flowers Anne has requested donations be made to the Mother's Memorial Fund, in care of Schuylkill Community Foundation, 816 Center St. Ashland, PA 17921 Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Charles Heizenroth III, Supervisor.

Dianne T. Werley, beloved wife, mother, nana, and sister, of Deere Lane, Andreas, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown at the age of 80.

Survived by her husband of twenty-three years, Kenneth O. Werley; granddaughter Lauren L. Peacock, Esquire and her husband Gordon T. Little of New York, New York; great granddaughter, Virginia P. Little; brothers, Roy and Doug Farber of Slatington; and several step children and step grandchildren.

Born in Slatington the daughter of the late Roy, and Lottie (Hallman) Farber, Dianne was also predeceased by her daughter, Anne Rochelle L. Peacock and grandson, Collin N. Peacock; brothers, James, Barron, and Alden (Chubber) Farber.

A Slatington High School graduate, Dianne was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ of New Tripoli. Dianne loved to decorate her home and tend to the property. An animal lover, Dianne enjoyed the companionship of her cats, Annie, Fluffy, and Tigger.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 2066 West Penn Pike New Ringgold, Pennsylvania 17960.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 4:00 PM from the funeral home, Rev. Kevin Fruchtl to officiate. Friends may call on the afternoon of services at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until time of services.

Private interment Ebenezer United Church of Christ Cemetery, New Tripoli, Pennsylvania.

Helen E. Rugienius, 94, of Minersville, died Wednesday, August 16, in Florida.

Born in Shenandoah on September 27, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Ursula Shumatis Bluis. She was a 1940 graduate of Minersville High School. Later in life, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, then served as a Juvenile Probation Officer with the Schuylkill County Courts.

She was a member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, Minersville. She was also a member of the Knights of Lithuania, the Lithuanian Chorus and the Lithuanian Womens Club. She was a former member of the Schuylkill County Bar Association Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Attorney Adolph A. Rugienius, in 1971; her daughter, Elaine Bain, in 2011; a brother, Frank Bluis.

She is survived by her son, Michael Rugienius and his wife, Barbara, Oviedo, Florida; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sister, Beatrice Thomas, Haddon Heights, New Jersey; nieces and nephews; her son-in-law, Donald Bain, Lansing, Michigan.

Graveside services will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Branch Township, on Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at 10:30 A.M.
