The North Schuylkill School District has notified parents of a new threat made towards the district via social media for Monday.
According to a statement on Saturday afternoon from Superintendent Robert Ackell, the North Schuylkill School District is aware of a social media threat made against the High School for Monday, February 26th, 2018.
Ackell states "We are actively working with law enforcement to find the origin of the message and to determine it's validity."
The school district will provide an update on the situation no later than Sunday evening.
The district also asks that instead of sharing threats on social media, to please report any threats directly to law enforcement or the school district. The school district tip line number is (570) 874-0466, ext. 1847
