Johanna Rose Valento-Knob died unexpectedly in her home in Boerne, Texas, on December 13, 2017, at the age of 65.
Born in Shenandoah, March 1, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Anna (Rutkowski) Valento.
Johanna graduated from the former Cardinal Brennan High School in 1970. She continued her education at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, N.J., and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration in 1974.
Johanna had a vivacious spirit and was loved by many. She loved life and loved to learn new things. She paid attention to detail, whether it be in the interest and needs of her friends and family or in the many projects and life goals she continued to pursue. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with close friends and family members. Johanna was described as genuine, reliable and compassionate.
Johanna was preceded in death by her father, Joseph, and her mother, Anna.
She is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her former spouse and best friend, Steven Knob.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 in St. Casimir’s Church, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah, the sacred worship site of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. Interment will follow in Old St. George Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
