Ashland Police filed charges against a man for robbing another man at gunpoint in November.
Police say the incident occurred on November 3rd, 2017 when Patrolman Daniel Weikel received a call for an armed robbery with a firearm that occurred near 11th and Centre Streets in the borough.
The victim told police that the suspect robbed him of $20.00 at gunpoint.
The victim told Weikel that the suspect fled toward Market Street and gave a description of what he was wearing. Sheriff Groody also responded and helped search for the suspect but was unable to locate him.
Through the investigation, Nicholas Harman, 25, of Ashland, was identified as the suspect.
Patrolman Weikel filed charges of Robbery, persons not to permitted to use firearmas, firearms not be carried without a license, terroristic threats, recklessly endangerment, simple assault, and disorderly conduct against Harman.
Harman was already locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on similar charges and unable to post bail from another robbery incident.
On March 21, 2018, Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale set bail at $25,000 cash bail for the November 3rd incident.
