Around 1:15am, Monday, fire crews were called to the 300 Block of Walnut Street, Ashland for a working structure fire.
Crews arrived to find the front of the home fully engulfed in flames and upgraded the fire to a 2nd Alarm calling in additional units.
By 2:00am, the fire was declared under control.
Nobody was reported to be home at the time.
Ashland Fire Chief Phillip Groody reported that the fire appeared to have started in the front first floor room. A State Police Fire Marshal has been called to determine an exact cause.
Neighbors reported that a person driving by was the original person to call in the fire and began blowing their vehicle's horn in order to wake all the neighbors in the area.
