Around 1:45pm, Sunday emergency personnel were dispatched to 3108 Main Street, Locust Dale, Butler Township for a one vehicle crash involving a pickup into a home with entrapment.
When crews arrived they found an unconscious male inside a pickup truck that had crashed into a parked van and the side of a home.
The victim, identified as, Thomas Barlow, 69, of Pottsville was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak at 2:40pm.
A virtual autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
A woman and her son were inside the home at the time of the but were not injured.
Lavelle, Fountain Springs Fire Departments, as well as Ashland Rescue and Ambulance with the Pennsylvania State Police are at the scene.
