Richard Williams, 82, of Ashland passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital -Schuylkill East on March 11, 2018. Born in Ashland on July 12, 1935, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lillian (Marquette) Williams.
Richard Williams, 82, of Ashland passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital -Schuylkill East on March 11, 2018. Born in Ashland on July 12, 1935, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lillian (Marquette) Williams.
He graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1953 and also attended Penn State University. He was in the US Army serving in France. After an honorable discharge from the military he worked in the Philadelphia area and later moved back to Ashland to assist his mother. He worked for many years at the Tri-State Envelope Corporation. He was an accomplished pianist and loved classical music. One of his favorite pastimes was playing the PA lottery. He is survived by two sisters Ruby Kehler, California and Dorothy Price, New Jersey and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister Nancy Travis.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home

Thomas J. Collins, age 83, of Barnesville, peacefully left us to be with his best friend and wife Monica, on the third of December 2017 in La Plata, MD after a short illness. His children and their families were with him.
Born in Mahanoy City he was the son of the late Peter and Letitia (Elliot) Collins. He attended St. Canicus School and graduated from Mahanoy City High School before joining the United States Navy to serve in the Korean War. Tom had been employed with and retired from Air Products. Anyone that met Tom knew he was a hard working family man with an always active social life. He had weekly outings with friends and was an active member of the American Legion, AMVETS, Moose and the VFW. Tom was a man of great faith and attended Saturday evening Mass at St. Richard's Church in Barnesville.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents and wife were an infant daughter Beth and his siblings John, James, Joe, Helen and Margaret.
Survivors include a daughter Donna Stone, a son Thomas Patrick Collins, sisters Mary Klein and Tish Dougherty, a granddaughter Shannon Stone and her husband Billy Bishop, grandson Thomas Collins, great grandson Camden Bishop and his best buddy a chocolate lab named Trouble.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Whalen Friday morning at 10 AM from St. Richard's Church in Barnesville.
Interment with military honors will follow at 12:30 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. Friends may call at the church on Friday morning beginning at 9 AM.
