Anna Marie Wychunas Kimmel, 89, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday, March 26th, at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg, where she had been a resident.

Born in Shenandoah on October 9, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Joseph & Helen (Pawalkis) Wychunas.

She was the widow of William J. Kimmel, who passed away September 22, 1993.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her siblings: Helen, Albert, Leonard, Joseph, John, & Vincent Wychunas, and Maryann Baxter.

Anna retired from Hamburg Center in March of 1989 after working as a nurse's aide.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

Anna also belonged to Pine Grove Senior Citizens, Shenandoah Senior Citizens, and Roedersville Gun Club.

She is survived by brother, Charles Wychunas, two step-children, Ruthann Lehman, & Keith Kimmel, all of Pine Grove, several step-grandchildren & step-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces & nephews, and seven godchildren.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 28th from 6 - 8 p.m. at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona.

A Catholic Prayer Service will be conducted at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 29th, with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating. An additional time for viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Interment will immediately follow mass at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Allen R. Sattizahn, 80 of Pine Grove, surrounded by his loving family, peacefully went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 21, at his home. He was well known as "The shoe repairman in Outwood" to his family and friends. 

Born on February 1, 1938, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Francis and Verna A. Schneck Sattizahn. 
  
He was a 1955 graduate of Pine Grove High School. Allen served with the U.S. Army taking basic training at Ft. Dix. NJ then being stationed at Ft. Lee, VA with the Quartermaster Unit. After being discharged from the Army he served with the National Guard. After being in the Army, he opened a shoe repair shop which he operated until three months ago. 

Allen worked as a CNA in the VA Hospital, Lebanon for over 22 years. 

He was very active in the Echo Valley Grace Brethren Church, where he led the worship services, was the church song leader and active in the Cantatas, played the accordion and was the coordinator for the church dinners. He loved gardening, camping and was an avid pinochle player.
A sister, Shirley Knittle preceded him in death. 

Surviving are his wife, to whom he would have been married 58 years this May, Janice L. Lehman Sattizahn, a Son, David A. and wife Diane Sattizahn of Pine Grove, a Daughter, Beth A. Sattizahn of Robesonia; a Grandson, Shelby D. Sattizahn, a Granddaughter, Katryna Sattizahn and her companion, Justin Hoke; one great granddaughter, Raurie Hoke; two brothers, Clyde E. Sattizahn of Friedensburg and Terry L. Sattizahn of Schuylkill Haven: and three foster children, Timothy Nonnemacher of Allentown, Randy Nonnemacher of Fleetwood, and Kathy, wife of Vince D'Agostino of Pine Grove,
Memorial Services will be held in the Echo Valley Grace Brethren Church, 46 Tremont Rd., Tremont, Pa. on Saturday, March 31, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rod Finster officiating. There will be a calling time at the Church on Saturday, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Interment will be in the Outwood Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove at a later time. 

The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Echo Valley Grace Brethren Church Memorial Fund, 46 Tremont Rd. Tremont, PA 17981, in his memory.

Dean Walter Updegrave, 89, of Tower City, passed away Monday at the Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Tower City, November 13, 1928, a son of the late Harold and Ida Hand Updegrave.

Dean was a graduate of the former Porter Tower High School. He was a W.W. II Army Air Corps Veteran.

He was a retired District Manager of the Federal Mine Inspectors. He had also been a part time officer with the Tower City Police .

He was of the Methodist Faith; a lifetime member of the Orwin Gun Club. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Union and the AFGE Local 2502.

Dean was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, being a cowboy, restoring his tractor, wood carving and was a jack of all trades.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Alma Evans Updegrave, 2014.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen Readinger and her husband, Mike, Tower City; two sons, Walter Updegrave and his wife Trish, Tower City and Bruce Updegrave and his wife Blanche, Reading; a sister, Patsy Bordner, Elizabethtown. Four grandchildren, Jessica Maurer, Tanya Readinger, Tiffany Boyer and Tyler Readinger; two step grandchildren, Aaron Batdorf and Cyndi Pedaggi; 3 Great Grandchildren, 5 step Great Grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, March 29th at 12 noon from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-12 noon at the chapel. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Christ United Methodist Church, P.O. Box F Tower City, PA 17980.
