A Shenandoah man is facing drug charges after being found with heroin and methamphetamine in West Hazleton over the weekend.
According to West Hazleton Police, on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at approximately 10:30 pm, police encountered a wanted subject near Pantry Quik. The male was taken into custody pursuant to an arrest warrant from a Schuylkill County Police agency.
Police discovered the male possessed heroin and crystal methamphetamine. An investigation revealed the male possessed the narcotics with the intent to deliver or distribute them.
Jared George Azar, 24, of Shenandoah, faces (2) counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, (2) counts Possession of a Controlled Substance, and (1) count Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Azar was arraigned before Magisterial District Court Judge James Dixon, and committed to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility after he was unable to produce bail.
