Around 7:30pm, emergency personnel were called to a one vehicle crash on Route 443 near the Mantz Hill Lane in West Penn Township.
Not long after a Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner was called to the scene.
At 8:20pm, Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak, of Shenandoah, identified and pronounced Ronald Bauer, 54, of Lehighton dead at the scene.
Route 443 was closed for several hours after the crash while the scene was investigated.
