Postponed twice due to our extended northeast winter, this Friday Big Diamond Speedway will once again present the 6th Annual “Money in the Mountains” race for the Modifieds.
This Friday will also be “No Sweat Service Group” night as the mighty Modifieds will take part in the 40-Lap Big Block / Small Block challenge race paying a nice sum of $6000 to the winner with $400 to take the green. The winner of the MITM race will also receive a guaranteed spot in the STSS “Anthracite Assault” set to take place on Tuesday June 5th.
Former winners Jeff Strunk (2013), Ryan Godown (2014), Ryan Watt (2015 & 2017) and Rick Laubach (2016) will all be in attendance looking to take home another big money payday. Add to that mix the two drivers with the most victories at the speedway Craig Von Dohren and Duane Howard who will both be looking to add the big money victory to their impressive totals. The always tough Big Diamond regulars will have their say as well in who wins the big race. Billy “The Kid” Pauch, former Coalcracker 72 winner Doug Manmiller and Jimmy Horton are also expected to invade the speedway on Friday night looking to cash in on the big bucks.
