William A. “Bill” Mills, 65 of Schuylkill Haven, died Saturday at home.

He was born February 24, 1953 in Pottsville son of the late Warren and Agnes Smith Mills.

He was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School.

He was a Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War.

He was employed by the United States Postal Service as Maintenance Manager until his retirement.

Bill was a life member of Phoenix Hose Fire Co., Pottsville.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years Denise Flannery Mills, Schuylkill Haven; a son, Seth Mills and his wife Jody, Schuylkill Haven; a daughter, Lindsey Hanlon and her husband Jeff, Huntington Beach, CA; 2 grandchildren, Marshall Hanlon and Kelsey Mills; 2 brothers, John Mills, Pottsville and Russell Mills; Nieces and Nephews.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Bill will be held Saturday at 1:30PM from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 11:30AM until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2024 Lehigh St. Suite 100, Allentown PA, 18103. Military Honors will follow the memorial service at the funeral home.

Kenneth Schwensfier, 81, of West Penn Township, Tamaqua, PA died on Thursday, March 29, 2018 in Mahoning Township, Lehighton, PA. 

He was the husband of Barbara (nee Lontka) Schwensfier to whom he was married 63 years. Born in Rahway, NJ on August 30, 1936, Ken was the son of the late Paul and Estelle (nee Dudek) Schwensfier. A graduate of Linden High School, NJ, he served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Ken was the owner operator of Kens’ Hideaway in Tobyhanna, PA from 1969-1998. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Denise Guardascione and her husband, Mark of West Penn Township and granddaughter, Marissa Guardascione of West Penn Township. John S. Lodish, Sr., 87, of Tower City, passed away Friday at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

Born in Tower City, May 22, 1930, a son of the late Anthony and Anna Scherak Lodish.

He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.

John was retired from Lebanon Steel Foundry.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Chapel, Tower City.

John enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed cooking for his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Dallas Lodish, sisters; Margaret and Stella Lodish, Josephine Saylor, Julie Buscar and Mary Jacob, brothers; George, Walter and Joseph Lodish.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Marlene Masarik Lodish; one son, John Lodish, Jr., and his wife Dana, Orwin; four grandchildren he was very proud of, Taryn Ziegler and her husband Scott; Tatum Laudenslanger and her husband Kim and Derrick Lodish and his companion Dominique,Allison Warren; 3 step grandchildren, Brianna Taylor and her husband Mark, Scott and Ryan Malick. Eight great grandchildren; Pacen, Kamden, Birkley, Della, Sienna, Bentley, Hunter and Aryauna. Four sisters; Helen Richards, Florida, Carol Reiner, Virginia, Corene Daub and Kathleen Reed, both of Tower City. Niece and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
