According to Mahanoy City Police, on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, around 3:00pm, the Mahanoy City Police Department responded to a report of several people fighting in the street in the 900 block of E. Mahanoy Ave.
After police arrived on scene, and investigated the incident, Joshua Mooney, 30, and Joshua Derk, 28, both from Mahanoy City were taken into custody and transported to the Schuylkill County Prison on active Schuylkill County Bench Warrants.
Joshua Mooney is also facing the additional charges of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Joshua Derk will also be facing additional charges of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.
Charges will be filed by Patrolman Thomas Rentschler.
