The event is being sponsored by Josh Rex State Farm Insurance Agency in Orwigsburg and will take place from Noon until 6:00pm at the Blue Mountain Middle School Recreation Fields, located at 669 Red Dale Road, Orwigsburg.
Those attending can bring their own kite or a get free kite while supplies last.
The event will also offer food, games, face painting, ice cream from Twisted Sisters, and live music from Sisters in Faith.
"The goal of the event is to provide an opportunity for the community to have an annual event that brings families together for an activity they will remember year after year! Myself and the Arts Barn cover the expenses with the exception of the food. So this gives the community and surrounding communities an opportunity to come out and have a day of fun flying kites and playing games with no cost." said organizer Josh Rex.
