A Zion Grove man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in North Union Township on Saturday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville,, the crash occurred around 7:40pm on Millers Road.
Police say Brian Leonard, 50, of Zion Grove was travelling west when he failed to negotiate a left curve and went off the right side of the road and struck a boulder. Leonard was thrown off the motorcycle and landed in the yard of a home.
Leonard was not wearing a helmet and was knocked unconscious and suffered substantial head injuries.
Leonard was transported by APTS Ambulance to Nuremberg to a waiting helicopter that took him to Geisinger with injuries listed as serious.
Nuremberg/Weston Fire Company also assisted at the scene.
