Harvey Slater, 73, Schuylkill Haven, passed away at his residence on Friday.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was a son of the late William and Joan Marsh Slater. He attended Neward schools and was formerly employed by Penn Tool Company, Maplewood, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Slater, in 2003.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, the former Luz Velasquez; two daughters, Leslie Slater and Kia Slater, both of Paterson, New Jersey; three stepdaughters, Nancy Velasquez, Newark, New Jersey, Angelica Feliciano, Fords, New Jersey, and Dolores Vadi, of Florida; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren. He is also survived by four siblings, Barbara Tucker, Baltimore, Rhoda Mann, Tamarac, Florida, Brenda Felton, Plainfield, New Jersey, and John Slater, Kunkletown; nieces and nephews.
