According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Saturday, Michele George, 40, of Nazareth, PA, was found attempting to smuggle synthetic cannabis also known as K-2 in the State Correctional Institution at Frackville, Ryan Township.
Police say George had placed three bundles of the drugs inside her body cavity before entering the prison. Once inside the visitor's bathroom, she removed these bundles and passed them to inmate.
George was charged with intent to deliver a controlled substance, contraband, and possession of a controlled substance.
She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker and locked up on $25,000 unsecured bail.
