Photos from the 38th Annual Coal Cracker 10K and Fun Run

On Saturday, runners competed in the 38th Annual Coal Cracker 10K and fun run.


At 9:00am, a kids fun run was held that lead it's way through the borough for 1 mile course.  Ayden Zamudio was the overall and boys winner completing the course in a time of 9:25 and Mariah Kacilowicz finished first in the girls division with a time of 11:00.

At 10:00am, the Coal Cracker 10K was held where runners took a 6 mile run that started on Main Street, Shenandoah, down 924 through Gilberton, passed the Gilberton Breaker, then headed North on Route 54 back to Shenandoah where the race finished near the intersection of Main Street and Centre Street.

With a time of 37:56, Alex Epler, 31 finished as the overall and male winner.  Tracey Yutko, 35, of Frackville finished as the overall female winner.

Trophies were awarded after the all participants completed the course.  The award ceremony was held at Who's Place Bar and Grill, Shenandoah.  We will post age division winners at a later date.
