William "Billy" Bright, 55 of Shenandoah passed away Wednesday May 30,2018 at Shenandoah Manor Nursing & Rehab. Shenandoah, PA.
Born in Shenandoah Oct. 26,1962 the son of Mary Lou the wife of Richard
Dodson of Shenandoah and the late William Bright. He graduated from Shenandoah Valley High School in 1980 and throughout the years worked at the Shenandoah Rag Company, Mike's Seafood and Vernalis Restaurant.

Billy was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan. In addition to his mother surviving are his sister and caregiver Linda wife of Clem Capiga,Shenandoah and sisters Debby McGinn,Shenandoah and Tracy wife of Joe Nahas, Frackville. Nieces, nephews and cousins survive. A memorial service will be held Thursday June 7,2018 at 8:00 P.M. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home in Ashland. Visitation Thursday 6:00-8:00 P.M. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home.
Rev. Craig Zimmerman will officiate. Interment Friday, June 8 10:00 A.M. in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah, PA. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home,

Paula M. Christensen, 66, of 620 Orchard View Rd., Reading, formerly of Morea died Tuesday at The Gardens at Pottstown.
Born in Ashland, August 1, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Basil and Helen (Horas) Hopko.
Paula worked as a teacher assistant before retiring from Conrad Weiser School District
She was a member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church, St. Michael’s Choir and St. Michael’s Sisterhood.
Surviving are her husband of 31 years David Christensen, son Alexander Christensen USMC stationed at Naval School of Music in Virginia Beach; sister Stefanie Shandor and her husband John of St. Clair 2 brothers John Hopko and his wife Mary of Wernersville; Robert Hopko of Bethlehem; Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday from St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 109 North Nichols Street St. Clair. The Rev. Jeff Zias will be officiating. . Friends may call from 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM Saturday at Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home 110 North 2nd Street, St. Clair, PA 17970 Panachida will be at 10:15 AM at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Orthodox Memorial Fund.
Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, East Norwegian Twp.

John W. "Pappy Jack" Simpson, 66, of Pottsville, passed away on Thursday at home.
Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late John and Pauline Leonard Simpson. He was a 1969 graduate of Pottsville High School. He was employed for 28 years at Argo Mills.
John is survived by his wife of 36 years, the former Cynthia Reed; five children, Rachel Simpson, Orwigsburg, John R. Simpson, Tamaqua, Melissa Simpson, Pottsville, Kyle Simpson, Pottsville, and Cory Simpson, Colorado. He had eleven grandchildren, and was expecting a twelfth; two great grandchildren, and was expecting twins. He is also survived by two siblings, Marjorie Simpson, Orwigsburg, and Edward Simpson (spouse, Wendy), Kutztown.
Funeral services are pending. Contributions to Cynthia Simpson will be used in accordance with the wishes of the family.
