Joseph F. Evans, Jr., age 69 of Pottsville, PA passed away Saturday, June 9th, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill, East in Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville, PA on December 4, 1948, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Brobst) Evans.
Joe is survived by family and loved ones.
Services will be held private. The Robert A. Evans Jr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Neda E. VanBuskirk, 99, of Lizard Creek Road, Andreas, PA died on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Coaldale, PA. She was the wife of Ralph VanBuskirk.
Born on August 7, 1918 in West Penn Township, PA, Neda was a daughter of the late Lewis and Alyce (nee Kershner) Moyer.
A 1936 graduate of Tamaqua High School, she earned a Bachelors Degree from the Kutztown State Teachers College in 1938. Neda began her teaching career in West Penn Township schools, teaching first to eighth grades in the one room schools of the township, rotating to different schools every two years. She finished her teaching career at the West Penn Elementary School where she taught second grade after the consolidation with Tamaqua School District. Neda was proud of a certificate she received from the Pennsylvania Governor recognizing her 35 years of teaching. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Free Church, Mahoning Township, PA. Neda and her first husband, Charles W. Neifert, ran the Neifert Trucking business in Andreas and after his death she was a part of VanBuskirk Trucking operated by her second husband Ralph. Neda is survived by daughters, Donna Roberts and her husband James of Pittsburgh and Cindy Miller and her husband Todd of West Penn Township; grandchildren, Dr. Kelly Ann Roberts and her husband Scott Clous, Tarynn Mecir and her husband Michael, Lauren Miller, Tyler Miller and his wife Alyssa, and Morgan Miller; and great grandchildren, Leo Clous and Peter Clous.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles W. Neifert in 1955; a grandson, James M. Roberts, Jr.; brothers, Clayton Moyer and Lewis Moyer; and sisters, Katherine Kern, Stella Hettinger, and Ruth Leiby.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 15 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA. Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown, PA will follow the services. Call 9-11 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Lorraine N. Barder, 82, of Moonshine Road, Pine Grove, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 9th at Lehigh Valley Hospital - East, Pottsville.
Born in Hegins, September 28, 1935, a daughter of the late Harvey and Mildred Morgan Kroh.
Lorraine worked for many years as a cashier at the former Pine Grove Truck Stop.
She was preceded in death by her companion of 50 years, Clyde Koons, October 30,2016; brothers, John, Andy, Mark, Clervin and Mervin Kroh; a sister, Marie Poletti.
Surviving are a daughter, Bridget Barder, Pine Grove; three sons, Robert Barder, Lykens; David Barder, Millersburg and John Barder, CO; three step-sons, Brett Koons, WA, Scott Koons, LA and Gregg Koons, Fl.; one sister, Eleanor Bixler, Valley View; one brother Robert Kroh, Lincoln. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
