Arlene M. Reichwein, 64 years of age of Ashland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 26 at home with her family at her side. 

Survived by; her husband of forty-four years, Harold F. Reichwein; daughters, Amie Neary and her husband Michael, Lisa Green and her husband Craig, Susan Boris; son, Harold F. Reichwein III and his wife Brooke; sister, Jeanne Sherwood; brothers, John Mizzer and his wife Geraldine, and James Mizzer; seven grandchildren. 

Born on December 14, 1953 in Shenandoah, the daughter of the late John, and Helen (Ambrose) Mizzer. 

A graduate of Shenandoah High School, Arlene worked with her husband as Office Manager for Reichwein Diesel of Ashland. Arlene, loved the outdoors, she spent alot of time gardening, fishing, and boating. She was a member of the former St. George's R.C.C. of Shenandoah where she was married on July 21, 1973. 

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday June 30, 2018 at her home celebrating a life well lived from noon to 4 o'clock P.M..

Florence B. “Flo” Steele, 92, of Ringtown, passed away on Tuesday at Ridgeview Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah Heights.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 17, 1925, she was a daughter of the late James and Lillian (Day) Cunningham.

Earlier in life, Flo was a member of the congregation of the Dominican Sisters in New York where she was a teacher in various parish schools. After serving in the Dominican order, she was employed at Tarkett Tile, New York, as an inspector.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Ringtown, but regularly attended Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were brothers and sisters, and her sister-in-law, just two days prior on Sunday, Anna Marie Kowalski. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are her husband, William C. Steele, to whom she was married 26 years; nieces, Nancy Pytak with her husband, Frank, Shenandoah, Patricia Kowalski, Shenandoah, and Mary Skubel, Ringtown; nephew, Edward J. Kowalski Jr. with his wife, Jessica, Shenandoah Heights; nieces and nephews in New York. Great-nieces, great-nephews and their families also survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Divine Mercy Church, Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held from 8 until 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah.

Carl Leroy Meckley, 72, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, June 26th, at his residence. Carl was born in Seven Valleys on September 8, 1945, a son of the late Lottie M. (Hirsch) and George E. Meckley. He was the husband of C. Beth (Meck) Meckley, married August 18th, 2000. He was a member of Faith Church, a graduate of Spring Grove High School and received his Masters degree from Millersville University. He worked as a Science and physics teacher at Cocalico High School for 35 years. He was a scout master in Ephrata.

He was a member of the Orwigsburg Lion's Club and was very active in the Hope Initiative at Faith Church. He would have celebrated 35 years of sobriety on June 28th, 2018. He loved hunting with his son and fishing with his friends.

Carl is survived by two daughters Erika Aldridge and Cindy, wife of Jarrad Bernitsky,

Two sons Brian, husband of Khymn Meckley, of Germansville and Gary Heim

He is also survived by Sister Gloria Krebs and sister-in-law Adrienne Meckley , Grandchildren Lucian Meckley, Morgan Aldridge, and Bella Bernitsky. He is predeceased by Brother Paul Meckley. Carl adored his grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service, for Carl, at Faith Worship Center, Rt 61 Orwigsburg, Saturday June 30, 11:00 AM with Pastor Doug Cresswell Officiating. Memorial Gathering will be from 9:30 AM until 10:45, at which time the Orwigsburg Lions Club will have a service. Interment will be private, in Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Orwigsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Church, Route 61, and Orwigsburg, PA, the local food pantry or a charity of personal choice. Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. Orwigsburg is honored to be serving the family.
