An escape room, also known as an "escape game", is a physical adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints, and strategy to complete the objectives at hand. Players are given a set time limit to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms. Games are set in a variety of fictional locations, such as prison cells, dungeons, and space stations, and usually the various puzzles and riddles themselves follow the theme of the room.
The new escape room, called "The Art of Escape", which opened July 6th, is located in Pine Grove at 61 South Tulpehocken Street, inside the Made in PGA store.
Right now they have one room open, called "The Reporter", with a second room in the works.
"The Reporter" is a game with the setting where you help a reporter solve a mysterious small town case with a 60 minute time limit.
Reservations are made for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday but also take special requests.
The cost is $24 per person and the room can accommodate up to 6 people.
This weekend (07/20 through 07/22) they are offering a flash sale with 10% off.
