Guns, Ammunition, Blasting Caps. and Drugs Seized During Search Warrant

Authorities seized guns, ammunition, blasting caps. and drugs while serving a search warrant in Butler Township Tuesday morning.

According to Police, on Friday morning Butler Township police assisted by the Pennsylvania State police served a search warrant and arrest warrant at 24 2nd Avenue in Lavelle.

Seized in the search warrant were 8 firearms, nearly 2,000 rounds of ammunition, 6 blasting caps, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Ralph George Geist, 60, was taken into custody on the arrest warrant and charged with one count of Persons not to Possess Firearms.

Geist was arraigned before District Judge Christina Hale and committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $100,000.00 cash bail. 

Geist will face additional charges as a result of the search warrant.
