Ruby Sherry, 83, a resident of Tremont Nursing Home and formerly of Elizabethville and Klingerstown passed away Tuesday, July 24th, at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Ruby was born in Gratz, PA on August 18, 1934, a daughter of the late Eva (Kissinger) and Vernon Scheib.

She was the widow of John E. Sherry who passed away June 7, 1984.

She was employed as a factory worker working in a garment factory and also was employed at the former Spread Eagle Egg Factory in Klingerstown.

She was a member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready Klingerstown.

Ruby is survived by two sons Charles, husband of Elaine Sherry, of Hegins and Randall Sherry of Ashland; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Annie Decker, Ethel Knorr and Margaret Herb and two brothers, Stanley Scheib and an infant Elwood Scheib

As per her request private services with interment in Salem Cemetery, Klingerstown will be held.

Olga Tomasovich, 91, formerly of Coaldale, PA died on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Hazleton, PA. 

She was the wife of the late John Tomasovich who died August 17, 2004. Born in Coaldale on June 12, 1927, Olga was a daughter of the late Alex and Justina (nee Bischak) Sachon. A 1946 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, she loved being at home spending time with her family and children. Olga was a fanatic bingo player. 

She is survived by her children, Justine Klementovic and her husband, Thomas of Lansford, PA, Daria Steigerwalt of Hazleton, Alexis Danchak and her husband, Richard of North Carolina, David Tomasovich and his wife, Kathleen of Jim Thorpe, PA, and Sandra Jones of Tamaqua, PA; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Cheslak of Nesquehoning, PA. 

Olga was predeceased by a son, John A. Tomasovich; a daughter, Michelle Tomasovich; a brother, Michael Sachon; and a sister, Margaret Koch.

Gregory C. Motuk, Sr., 73, of Minersville, passed away on Thursday at Schuylkill Center.

Born in Minersville, he was a son of the late Leon Motuk, Sr. and the late Rose Antonelli Motuk. He was a 1962 graduate of Minersville High School; and enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving as a Sergeant at Camp Lejeune during the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed in commercial construction as a foreman. He was then employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. After retiring from the Lottery Commission, he worked as a lab technician for several area coal companies.

A lifelong resident of the New Minersville neighborhood, Greg was affectionately known as "Mr. Mo". As a young man, he enjoyed singing with a local wedding band. He was a member of the New Minersville Fire Company and a social member of the New Minersville Firehouse Bikers. He was an avid fan of the Phillies and the Eagles.

Greg is survived by three children, Gregory C. Motuk, Jr., (partner, Michael Mullen), Philadelphia, Kelly Motuk (fiancé, Savas Logothetides), and Joel Motuk (spouse, Kathleen), Cass Township; four grandchildren, Aislinn and Sophia Lehane, Grace and Hope Motuk; two brothers, Leon Motuk, Jr. (spouse, Joan Marie), Minersville, and Robert Motuk (spouse, Debbie), Mill Creek; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville, on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until the time of service at 7:30 P.M. Interment with military honors will be on Thursday at 12:30 P.M. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township.

George J. "Kuff" Kufrovich, age 57, of Mahanoy City, died suddenly Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton after taking ill at work. 

Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital he was the son of the late George & Mary (Holovich) Kufrovich. He was a 1978 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and was employed by Hershey Foods in Hazleton. He was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. George enjoyed fishing, camping at Rosemont, attending his daughter Brooke's swim meets and volleyball games and cheering on his favorite football team the Tennessee Titans. On his days off he enjoyed eating breakfast and watching Lets Make A Deal. 

He is survived by his wife of 34 years the former Susan Williamson, a daughter Brooke at home, a sister Bernadine Engleman and her husband Harold (Smokey) of Tamaqua, 2 brothers Eugene and his wife Irene of New Boston and Kenneth of Morea, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher at 10 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church. 

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 9 PM and again on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:30 AM until time of service.

Coleen C. Hubler, 59, of Ashland, PA passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at her home. Born in Ashland on June 17, 1959 the daughter of the late Rudolph and Margaret (Mensch) Huhn.
She graduated from North Schuylkill High School. She was a forklift operator at Wal Mart Distribution Center for many years. 

Surviving is a daughter: Sharon Costic of Mt. Carmel, PA.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.

George "Chip" Blair, 66, of Ashland, PA passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA surrounded by family. He sustained serious injuries from a car accident on July 1, 2018.

Born on September 21, 1951, Chip was the middle son of the late Edwin P. Blair and the late Jacqueline L. (Kelshaw) Blair. Along with his sister Linda and brother Greyson, Chip was raised in Fountain Springs, PA. In his twenties, Chip was a photographer for the Pottsville Republican and then worked as a machine operator with Allied Signal (now Honeywell) until his retirement. Chip, a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend and partner, had a passion for photography and cars and was known for his quick wit and sharp sense of humor. His other passion was coaching the swim teams he built from scratch at Fountain Springs Country Club and North Schuylkill High School.
Chip was preceded in death by his wife Janice R. Blair, who died May 28, 2011 and with whom he shared 38 years of marriage. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Linda (Blair) Miller.
Chip is survived by his three children: David Blair, Paula Comber (Pete), and Courtnye Blair, and was the proud Pop Pop of Sydney, Riley, Chris, Matthew, Carter, Katie, Hayden, Morgan and Teagan; and uncle to nieces and nephews. Chip is also survived by his brother Greyson and his partner of 5 years, Kathleen Daley.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Presbyterian Church, North 9th St., Ashland, PA with Rev. David Hebrling officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be from 12 noon to time of service Saturday, August 11, at the church.
