As part of the University of Kansas Monarch Watch program, Herb and Ann Lee Schlegel have created a Monarch Butterfly way station at their Schuylkill Haven home.
In fact, the couple has created a haven of host and nectar plants on their property. From egg, to caterpillar, to chrysalis, to butterfly the Schlegels raise 200 to 400 Monarchs a season.
Come to the Sweet Arrow Lake County Park clubhouse on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. to learn about their journey to benefit this beautiful and important species.
This program is free and open to the public and is made possible with a grant from the Schuylkill Area Community Foundation. For information or directions call 570-345-8952
